ABOUT ANTHONY
Born in Long Island, New York, Anthony began playing drums at the age of eight. Raised in a musical family, his father- a trumpet and keyboard player- inspired him to play music, but told him not to
be a drummer because it was too much equipment to have to carry at the end of the night. However, Anthony wasn't going to be deterred from his dreams. When he saw an advertisement for a free drum lesson at Monroe Music near his house, he picked up the drumsticks and hasn't put them down since.
Eventually, Anthony went on to graduate
of Berklee College of Music in Boston where he studied drums and music business.
In 2003, Anthony became a founding member of the band The Bravery, which put out three albums on Island Records, including their debut album "The Bravery" which went gold in the UK. They toured the world with U2, Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, Linkin Park, Chris Cornell, Green Day, and Queens of the Stone Age, gathering fans across the globe. From SXSW, to Sundance, to festivals worldwide, they band covered the globe, touring for almost a decade.
In 2010, Anthony relocated to Los Angeles and began producing and songwriting while doing studio recording for artists such as Shakira, Santigold, and Mr. Little Jeans, as well as The Bravery. He worked in the studio alongside producers John Hill, Linda Perry, and Brendan O'Brien, among others.
When The Bravery took a hiatus in 2012, Anthony began playing drums for Morrissey on his US and Australian/New Zealand tour for a year. He also played with him on The Colbert Report, Jimmy Fallon, and 25: Live at Hollywood High, which marked the 25th anniversary of
Morrissey’s solo career.
In 2013, Anthony played with Weezer, filling in for their drummer Pat Wilson, on their Korean, Canadian, and US tour dates. Since then, Anthony has toured with many bands, including The Relationship (feat. Brian Bell from Weezer), White Sea (feat. Morgan Kibby of M83), Mercy Beat (The Bravery frontman Sam's side project),Weezer, Coastal Clouds, Brass Box,The Brinks, and The Fauve.
